私はこれまで、単純な作業を繰り返したり、積み重ねたりして作品を造ってきました。
絵画の作品では、同じくらいの大きさの筆跡を繰り返し、筆跡の上に筆跡を積み重ねて描きます。
難しく考えることがないので作業は楽しく夢中になることができます。
描き進めていくと、精神統一に似た忘我の境地に至ります。描くことは自分が生きていることを確認する作業だと思います。
またその作業で描いたことを記憶しようとしているのかもしれません。
描かれた筆跡は生の情報の断片で、たくさん集まることで大きな力となり、作品をみる人の心をプラスの方向に動かせればと考えています。
I have produced my works by repeating simple act.
When I paint, I repeat almost the same size brush strokes and put other brush strokes on the previous brush strokes.
Without thinking something difficult, I enjoy working and I can be absorbed in operation.
I keep on painting, then I reach the state of ecstasy like spiritual concentration. I think painting is confirmation that I’m alive. That might be to remember painting by that operation. Painted brush strokes are fragments of being alive.
Collection of such fragments produces a big power. I hope that power makes the viewers’mind positive and hopeful.
